Jewish Federation

Jewish Federation
of Broward County

The Federation turned to Leftfield to overcome two challenges. The first was to re-invent a tired brand that had developed a somber tone that was falling on deaf ears into something young, energetic and hopeful. The second challenge was to develop a campaign designed to multiply annual contributions by convincing donors to invest in their community and youth programs by committing to a three-year contribution with one single check.

To say this was a challenge for one year, let alone three would be an understatement. We started by giving the brand a facelift in order to re-position the organization to a community that had grown somewhat jaded by the routine messaging. "Jewish Broward Tomorrow" offered jubilance instead of despair and focused on contribution results to inspire hope in the form of physical donations. Contribution "sales kits" and an ad campaign supported traditional telemarketing efforts.

A similar campaign dubbed "Homecoming 2000" targeted those in need of financial aid in order to join a congregation. We made use of levity in order to counterbalance some of the discomfort that can sometimes set in when asking for help.
